For nearly 40 years, the arts & health field has demonstrated that arts experiences improve mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Sewn plays a unique role throughout the Southeast in bringing evidence-based art programs to hospitals and health & human service agencies. We're focused on the outcomes and results our partners want to see, such as improved maternal health, shorter hospitals stays, or an increase in patient outlook. Read below to learn about some of our currently featured programs.
Through a partnership with Carnegie Hall, Sewn pairs professional musicians with expectant and young mothers to co-write lullabies for their babies, supporting maternal health, aiding childhood development, and strengthening the bond between parent and child.
